The Burning Biscuit Band formed themselves from the Munich Irish pub session scene in the early nineteen nineties, where musicians from all musical directions & influences would drop by for a few tunes (& a few pints!).

Paul Richards had started out as a Rock guitarist in England but had sold his equipment to finance a move to Munich apart from an acoustic guitar & a mandolin.

Suzanne Booth also from England had an incredible natural voice & knowledge of old musicals, & had recently taken up guitar to join in the sessions.

Thoroughbred Irishman & session stalwart Colm O’Tuama provided an infinite knowledge of traditional Irish tunes & chirpy Irish humour.

American Jim Klopfenstein came in from the Munich Bluegrass scene where he was a unique & much requested double bass player (& a show on his own!).

Germany’s own Klaus Lamac was adamantly a violinist (not a fiddler!) from the jazz & swing scene & provided dazzling improvisational skills.

Together with an eclectic repertoire of songs & tunes naturally fusing together all their various influences, The Burning Biscuit Band evolved into a very popular band on the Southern German acoustic folk scene, playing pubs, clubs, festivals & party’s. Their debut album Mere Morsels received excellent reviews in the German folk press & the band continue to impress all who see & hear them perform.
